  31. INSTALLING IMAGINE 128 HAWKEYE FOR POWERMAC

  34. Step 1.     Insert your Imagine 128 driver disk into the disk drive.
  35.  
  36. Step 2.     If necessary, double click on the Imagine 128 disk icon
  37.               to open and view the contents of the disk.  
  38.  
  39. Step 3.     Double click on your hard drive's icon to open it. 
  40.                             Drag the HawkEye icon from the Imagine 128 window onto 
  41.                             the closed System Folder. 
  42.                             Release the mouse button.
  43.                             A message, asking if you want to put HawkEye into the 
  44.                             Control Panels folder,  will be displayed.

  46. Step 4.     Click on the 'OK' button to copy the HawkEye software 
  47.                             into the Control Panels folder.
  48.  
  49. Step 5.     Restart your PowerMac to activate HawkEye.

  51. Step 6.     From the Apple Menu, select Control Panels.

  53. Step 7.     Open the HawkEye Control Panel.
  54.  
  55. Step 8.     In the Config window, it is recommended that you set all 
  56.                             of the available switches to ON.

  60. IF YOU ARE UPDATING FROM AN OLDER DRIVER VERSION
  61. -----------------------------------------------------------
  62. Before installing the new version of the Hawkeye control panel, you
  63. may have to rename or remove your current Hawkeye file for the new
  64. version to install properly.
  65.  
  66. Open your System Folder, then locate and open the Control Panels 
  67. folder.  Your current driver is located In the Control Panels folder,
  68. and should be named Hawkeye.  If it is Hawkeye, you can simply drag 
  69. the Hawkeye icon from this disk to the closed System Folder to update 
  70. the file.

  72. If it is not called Hawkeye, you should rename the file to Hawkeye before 
  73. dragging the new version to the System Folder.
  74.  
  75. If the driver is being updated correctly, the system should prompt you
  76. to confirm that you wish to replace the existing file during installation.

  78. After the new version has been copied, you can confirm proper
  79. installation by examining the contents of the Control Panels folder and
  80. verifying that only a Hawkeye icon is present icon.

  82. Restart your PowerMac to activate the new version of Hawkeye.

  92.             - which software applications are installed on your Power Mac
  93.             - detailed instructions needed to reproduce any problems you 
  94.                  are experiencing
  95.             - whether the problem still occurs after turning acceleration 
  96.                  OFF (in the HawkEye Control Panel within 'Config')

  166. newer versions may be available. Upgrades are provided to on the 
  167. Number Nine Bulletin Board System (BBS), World Wide Web home page 
  168. and FTP site.

  170. To see if you have the latest version, compare the version number
  171. of your software (on the label of the provided diskette or in Status
  172. in the HawkEye Control Panel) with the version number of the 
  173. corresponding software on the BBS, World Wide Web or FTP site.
